*How to Cope in Scary Times*
How to cope in scary times while politicians wash our minds with thoughts of fear they misdirect and stain our flag with disrespect When rule of law gets lost in fog A country too can lose its way With righteous thoghts so absolue that death becomes the price you pay How many more must die today How many more must disappear Just How much money do they need Before they lift this veil of fear The answer lies in common men To put us on the path again Reverse the course - avoid the brink To Right our ship before it sinks To Steer us back to olden days when people were priority perhaps the sun will shine again and light the way for all to see Perhaps the world will understand That this was not what WE had planned The war, the death, the disrespect were cast upon us while we slept But now we wake and now we see and pierce the fog with open eyes We say no more to fear and hate We will not listen to your lies So how to cope with scary times Is just a simple change away the power lies within your vote to make the evildoers pay so when im asked with furrowed brow Just how i cope in scary times The answer is I dare to hope And work to leave the past behind
