Not Enough Tears

I don't have enough tears
to wash away the shame

Not enough excuses
to neutralize
the blame

not enough words
to justify the claim

that life has any meaning
beyond its current frame

visions into myself
cut so deep
thoughts disturb me
robbing me of sleep

hopes for tomorrow

that my life is more than just a ripple
